Our Mission

Assist the fourteen (14) local units of government and one (1) Federal Indian Nation in a cooperative effort to resolve problems, develop and review policies and plans, that are common/regional and help improve their economic viability.

The agency is also committed to providing for a controlled growth policy; to preserve and improve the environment, to pursue greater efficiency and responsiveness of local units of governments, and to improve the ecological, social, and economic well-being of citizens within the region.

ECMPDR is governed by a policy board that includes elected officials, business leaders and citizen representatives from throughout the eight-county region. Services are supported by local government appropriations, special services contracts, and state and federal grants.
